We have been using Soil Moisture Sense equipment for many years, mainly to monitor temperature in tunnels and moisture plus conductivity in substrate. In 2018 we installed our first hectare of automation and increased it to 10 hectares in 2019 as it is so reliable and affordable; saving both water and fertiliser.
